YUBA
Yuba is low, clear and cold right now
thanks to zero rainfall in the basin.
The best insect activity is up in the
Highway 20 stretch has been in the
afternoons when there has been some
sporadic dry fly activity. If you don’t
see anythin on the surface, try small
nymphs in olives and browns. Skawala
nymph patterns are now the ticket. Most
salmon are carcasses now, so white flesh
flies are also getting bit. |

AMERICAN RIVER Tech Notes:
|
Sinking leaders, like Rio
Versileaders, turn a floating line
into a sink tip line. It will
help you get your fly to the fish. |
