Learn the art of spey casting from one of the top instructors in the country. Bill Lowe. Born and raised in the Sacramento area, Bill has been providing fly fishing instruction to all levels of fly-fishers and has been running a full-time guide service for the past 9 years. Spey-rod instruction and fishing have become a real passion of Bill’s over the last 5 seasons, with steelhead, salmon, shad, and trout all being the targeted species. Bill has conducted both fresh and saltwater schools for SAGE and is well equipped to meet the needs of the beginner as well as the more advanced angler. 
You will learn to cast both single-spey and double-spey, from both river-right and river-left directions, as well as gain a thorough understanding of the terminology associated with spey-rod fishing. From the 12-1/2 foot 6-weight to the 15-foot 10-weight, in both the Traditional and European tapers, you’ll have the opportunity to cast and feel each and decide which best fits your needs. The class size is limited to no more than six casters so that you have the one-on-one attention that is needed to fully appreciate these incredible tools.
