Fishing Reports

Fall River is kicking into shape. With the warming Spring days, the water is looking great. The aquatic weeds are developing into shape in many areas in the upper river. Where there are weeds there are insects. PMDs have been coming off in good numbers mid morning @10 and lasting an hour so (or if the wind comes up).  Earlier in the morning I noticed quite a few black caddis crawling into the boat and several fish keyed into them on the water. The Fall is not known for stone flies, however, the trout do recognize a nice snack. I might suggest a dropper with a mayfly under that stone. The Hex, it’s too early for that fly, however, it won’t be long. We are seeing several age classes of trout in the river. This is a good sign of a healthy fishery.
