The Lower Sac has been fishing really well with a little help from Mother Nature. Cloudy days and sunny, warm days both have their benefits. We’ve been fishing up and down the river, from town to Cottonwood, and each section seems to offer something different and fun. Indicators, dry-droppers, and dry fly fishing are all options most days.
Town is still producing some large rainbows on days when the bugs are active, and there are some really nice steelhead down low. One of the recent highlights was catching a 22″ clipper on a dry-dropper rig in just 12 inches of water. Cast, set the hook, and chaos erupted! So good.
