Lower Sac – Classic Summer Mode With A Twist

The river’s running clear and cold right now, with those classic high summer flows we count on this time of year. The fishing’s been good to flat-out great, depending on how strong the hatches are. When the bugs get going, the fish are right there with them. PMDs, Caddis, Sallies, and BWOs have all been around—some days more than others—but enough to keep things interesting. A variety of techniques are working, so having a few different tools in the quiver really helps.

We love summertime on the Lower Sac. There’s just something about the long days and multiple hatches coming off throughout the day. It’s also the time of year when grandparents bring the grandkids, families make their annual trips, and friends reunite on the water. These are the trips that stick with you. Summer fishing is just what you do—and it’s always for the right reasons.

We can’t thank you enough for trusting us and letting us be part of those days.
