Fishing Reports

Spring Striper season has been going Strong the last few weeks! Been seeing great numbers of solid Stripers in the system & hoping it continues! The next month or so should be good when the weather cooperates. Water temperatures are climbing up to 65 degrees, hopefully it doesn’t hit 70 degrees too fast. I have been catching around 20-30 fish a trip with, most in the 3-5lb class, & a few over 10lbs. As water temperatures increase from 65 to 70 degrees it will get tougher & the fish will likely scatter. Once they scatter it will be grind to find them as they move out towards the bay or up in the rivers for Summer. Clarity is currently 2-3’ & hopefully improves over the coming weeks. Fly wise, “Steve Adachi style” rattle Clousers are a way to a Stripers mouth so don’t leave home without them! April & May are prime Striper months & I am excited to see the season we are having. My Spring is booked but Fall is always an option as well. In addition, from June 15-September 15 I turn my focus to Topwater Largemouth & Smallmouth bass excursions. These 5hr 1/2 day bass trips are a great way to get newer anglers into the sport of Fly Fishing! Also, these trips are a blast for seasoned veterans who just want to have fun while watching Largemouth & Smallmouth blow up your fly up! After Summer Bass season I finish out the year with Fall Striper Trips September 15 until Christmas. Looking forward to a great season ahead, hope to see you out there!
