The Napa River has been fishing great through October, with a strong push of bait moving into the system over the past few weeks — and the Stripers have definitely noticed!
Water clarity has been holding around 2–4 feet, and temperatures are sitting between 64–66°F, making for ideal conditions this time of year. The bite has been consistent throughout most of the month, with good numbers of fish and steady action for anglers putting in their time.
As we move into November, expect the fishing to stay solid, especially with the continued presence of bait in the system. The coming weeks should offer some of the best late-season opportunities on the Napa before winter conditions settle in.
I still have a few open dates in November and early December, so if you’ve been thinking about chasing Stripers on the fly close to home, now’s the time to get out here!
