The San Francisco Bay has been fishing solid for Stripers this fall, with good clarity and plenty of opportunities for anglers willing to work the tides.
Water clarity is running 2–4 feet, and temperatures are holding between 64–68°F, which is perfect for active fish on the flats. The bite has been especially productive around the quarter-moon phases, when tidal movement and light levels align for prime feeding windows.
Looking ahead, we’ll continue to see excellent flats fishing opportunities through November, with more windows opening up as we move into December and January. Both South Bay and Central Bay are setting up nicely for sight-fishing and cruising fish when conditions line up.
It’s a great time to get out and explore the Bay before winter weather fully sets in — the Stripers are here and feeding well!
